My grandparents recently made the transition to a senior living community not to long ago and it was not an easy choice for them. They are both well over eighty and in good health, but they no longer felt that they could or wanted to take full responsibility of their lives because their two children lived too far from them to help them in anyway. After a lot of time and effort put into searching for the perfect community, they finally decided and moved a few months ago. In order to help you in your search for the perfect retirement community in Los Angeles, I have researched a few places that I think sound like a good place to retire to.

Belmont Village of Hollywood Hills is an “Assisted Living community built for life”! Nestled in Hollywood Hills, this community lets the senior citizens take full advantage of their golden years. Here they get to garden and learn new skills. The food is also supposed to be magnificent and very nutritionally balanced.
Grandview Palms is still under development but with every passing day it is becoming more and more impressive. Grandview Palms is located in Culver City and provides transportation services and planned excursions for the residents. They also offer family functions several times a year. They hope to be the best retirement community in the Los Angeles area.
Affordable Senior LivingAssisted living facilities are for people needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living ..... Motion Picture Hospital: Retirement Services is where my Grandparents chose to retire. Although this community is reserved for only those who were associated with a union or nonunion entertainment employment background, it is a great place to retire. They are known for really catering to the needs to the residents and provide many services to them and as my grandmother said, “They have great food!” which I think is really what’s important.

Resource For Senior LivingNew York Times reported a story about Davis, California where a couple and their friends - 12 individuals (and future residents)- were beginning ..... The Canterbury located in Rancho Palos Verdes is known for its charm and intimate atmosphere. The community is spread out over five and a half acres and has residential living, assisted living, and skilled nursing.
Summerville Senior Living is a community with locations across the nation, with several in Southern California. The one located in Chatsworth boasts to have large spacious apartments, good food, and many planned activities. I lived in an apartment across the street from the Summerville Community in Chatsworth and I can testify that if the inside is as nice as the outside, then the website isn’t lying.
